About This Mod

Halogen Mod (1.16.5) is a mod designed to improve the frame rate and reduce micro-freezes. It is mostly equivalent to the fabric version of Sodium, but includes additional features/patches to work with the Forge ecosystem. This mod is not compatible with Optifine, Performant, or Immersive Portals. This mod can be added to both the client and server, or only to the client. This fork includes Lithium Mod and Phosphor Mod.

The video option disables Vsync and increases the maximum FPS. The default settings are set to best match the visual appearance of Vanilla. By configuring the settings and enabling/disabling the options, you can achieve maximum performance at the expense of visual compliance.

If you want to maximize the FPS, make sure to set the following settings


General

Render Distance: Set the minimum distance.

Use VSync: Disable

Maximum Frame Rate Unlimited

Advanced.

Semitransparent sort: Disabled

Use leaf cleaning: enabled
