About This Mod

Description:

Bonemerge is an advanced tool that enables you to attach models and customize their connection using bone controls similar to those used in Source Filmmaker.


To use the tool, right-click the object to which you want to attach the model, and then left-click another entity to attach. Then, open the context menu (hold down C) to edit the attached models using the tool control panel.

Functions:

This tool gives you the ability to go beyond models that are designed for each other. You can attach any model to any object and customize it to your liking. For example, you can put a TF2 hat on a character that wasn't intended to wear it, and change its position and size to fit perfectly. Or, if you're set for something more ambitious, you can create a whole new character by combining elements from many different models on one rag doll. The possibilities are endless!


All the bones in the merged model must be adjusted—for each, you can specify which bone of the parent object it will follow (or not follow at all), and you can change its position, angles, and scale. 


Advanced bone-scaling opens up even more possibilities. Unattached bones can scale with the parent bone, allowing entire parts of the model to be resized at the same time, even stretching them.
