About This Mod

Description:


The 1996 Dodge Ram 7500 was developed in Mexico. Trucks were available in several variants, offering a choice between two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). The 6500 and 7500 were part of the second generation Dodge Ram, manufactured in Mexico, which was famous for its powerful engines and high capacity for towing.


Dodge Ram 6500/7500 1996:


Engine options: The cars offered a wide range of engines, including the 5.9-liter Cummins diesel engine, the 8.0-liter V10 engine, and a variety of gasoline V8 engines.


Transmissions:

Both manual and automatic transmissions were available. A popular choice was the NV4500 5-speed manual, while the NV5600 6-speed manual was a welcome improvement.


Towing:

The 6500 and 7500 models were known for their reliability in tow, offering options for heavier cooling and drive trains designed for heavy duty applications.


Features:


Additional options included a power steering system with a fast gear ratio, an anti-lock braking system for the rear wheels, a reinforced cooling system, and wiring for the trailer and class IV torches.
