About This Mod

Thirteen years ago, I started re-texturing the different parts of the game that I was most concerned about. I called it "Textures with Time," because as each of them finished, I added more and more textures until I got to the point where I felt I had enough textures to share with others. After a very long hiatus, I started again and will be posting some alternative textures.

First of all, I strongly recommend following the Viva New Vegas manual. This will eliminate many errors and memory problems, and allow you to use interchangeable textures with fewer problems. After following the VNV manual, I was able to run the game with 194 mods and more than 3 GB of interchangeable textures without much trouble. It is also highly recommended to use Mod Organiser 2 to install and manage the game and mods; if you do not follow the VNV manual, I would not recommend the use of landscape textures.


The first set of files is divided into three parts. First, replacement textures for Radscorpion, Bark Scorpion and three geckos from the base game. The idea behind these textures was to make them a little more detailed, but mostly altered, so that they blended into the terrain like real animals. You can see what I mean on the image tab. They fit perfectly with the landscape and rock textures that I'll upload later.


Next is my personal set of grass textures. They look very different than the base game, so look at the image tab to see if you need them. Grass textures also include new textures of shrubs and shrub algae. If you prefer the Hectrol shrub texture (which is very good), set it after this texture in MO2. I grew up in an area overgrown with wild grass, so I wanted to have my own texture that would look a little less common than the standard one.


The last of the first batch is the Flagstone Wall texture change. It is a stone wall that can be found throughout the heathland, especially around McCurran camp, highways and bridges. As with other textures, see the examples in the Images tab.


Update - downloaded several new texture sets:

Textures of roads and asphalt. These textures cover both roads and the more common asphalt textures used in parking lots, under roads, etc. Textures for various heaps of rubble used in the game. The textures of the sidewalks and the cracks used on them, as well as some additional concrete textures used in the game. The landscape textures shown in the screenshots cover most of the terrain in the game, but there are several earth textures that are not covered. We might get the last few textures in a future update. Finally, there are rock textures in 4K and 8K resolution; the 4K version should be suitable for 1440p resolution and below. Currently there are no LOD textures for rocks.


In general, the textures are 4K, some - 2K. If you're wondering why everything is being put out in small packets, it's partly because I want to put it out faster. But also to make it easier for everyone to choose what they want to use. For example, if you like pavement textures but prefer landscape textures from other modelers.
