The Pip-Boy 2000 mod from DarthFANt0M is now independent! This patch adds DarthFANt0M's Pip-Boy 2000 to the Mojave Wasteland container. Check the spoiler below to find out the specific location. Alternatively, don't do it! Find it yourself in the game!


Requirements.


[Hard requirement] Original mode - of course!

[Hard requirement*] Pip-Boy Selection Menu - for hardware options (select a Pip-Boy 2000 version in the options file).


HOW.


This patch contains two files:


An empty scriptrunner text file to overwrite the replacer of the original mod.

.esp for location and functionality*.


*Pip-Boy, Pip-Boy should be something that the engine recognizes as "playable". Players can take "playable" items from containers, as well as attach and detach them. Playable Pip-Boy means that the player can remove the Pip-Boy from the equipment menu and it will play without an interface.


Instead, the mod adds a bogus item called Pip-Boy 2000, which, once added to the player's inventory, adds the real Pip-Boy 2000, and then disappears. This makes the Pip-Boy 2000 unplayable. It gets into inventory, but does not appear on the menu.


Thus, the only way to equip the Pip-Boy is to script it. That's why Mick and Ralph can switch between 3,000 and 3 billion Pip-Boys. However, in the Pip-Boy selection menu, scripts can be used to equip a supported Pip-Boy at any time. This creates an obstacle.
