About This Mod
Bring back first aid skills from Fallout 1 and 2. This mod is an attempt to add some details in a balanced, unobtrusive, vanilla style to improve the first aid skills of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 and immersion into the game. The mod uses animation from Hitman and Fallout 2AM's AnimationResources. He draws inspiration directly from the original game and tries to implement it according to New Vegas; Requires JIP and NVSE: first aid skills can now be provided with hotkeys. By default, the hotkey is set to 'L'. You can change the hotkey. If you play at 60 frames per second or higher, this mode will not work properly. The framerate limit must be set to 60, otherwise the script will be corrupted. Generally speaking, there should be no insane script lags. The mod will not work correctly when using slow timecollers or mods. To provide first aid, you must have a First Aid advantage. With this benefit, you get the chance to heal damage equivalent to the Medicine skill. If you fail, you may suffer damage to your limbs. The probability of this is determined by the skill of Medicine + 25. For example, if the skill of medicine is 25, the chance of limb damage is 50%. If damaged, each limb has a 20% chance of being damaged. In other words, there is a 20% chance of head injury, a 20% chance of left arm injury, and a 20% chance of right leg injury; using the Medica benefit completely eliminates the chance of limb damage if first aid fails. First aid is available three times a day. Each first aid rank increases the number of times you can use first aid to a maximum of six times a day. If you get the advantage of "Heath Surgeon", you can use first aid to cure a limb without a first aid kit. At the same time, with the same chance as above, you will be able to heal all limb damage in addition to health. These advantages and limitations are intended to balance mods. First aid helps very little at first. It's more dangerous than useful because you don't know what you're doing and have to use recovery items like a steampack or a dock bag. At the 20th level, the medical skill reaches 100 and allows for free regeneration of limbs and strength six times a day. This is still limited, so there remains some incentive to build Stimpack and Doctor Bag. Hopefully, this will make the healing items completely useless and will not remove the challenge from the game. First Aid is animated from the first and third person. As mentioned above, I am not an animator, so I had to search for existing animations and get permission to use them. The chemistry in the game is clean, so the mod is basically compatible with everything. However, some of the most commonly used chemicals have been supplemented with new animations based on the animations I was able to find. First aid skills, Stimpack and RadAway have animations to chemicals such as Stimpack, which is more similar to Fallout 4 than other fashions.
