About This Mod

Hello everyone! I hope you enjoy using this fashion! Unfortunately, because of the realities of life, I have very little time for modding. So, if there's nothing absolutely destructive to the game, I'm not going to do this fashion anymore.

If you are upgrading to a new version, please remove all folders named 'mk14' or uninstall mod from NMM before installing!

Introduction

This is MK14 EBR. It is essentially an upgraded M14. Which is itself an upgraded M1.

Installation

Put everything in the ....Fallout 4/Data folder. To add a weapon to the game, type 'help mk14 4' and record the WEAP record ID. Type 'player.additem id 1' to end the process.


(v1.1) AWKCR is now supported! Create it at the Gun Shop.

Where to find

Diamond City, Publick Occurences, is right behind Nat Wright, who sells newspapers.

Bunker Hill, on top of the obelisk.

Prideven, next to the armory, next to the neighborhood master.

Railway headquarters, near the armory

Underground lock, on the floor to the right of the thermonuclear fusion generator

The third rail, Goodnyder, is in McCreadie's room.


Features

Brand new model with fully functional normal maps

Textures are created with regard to physical rendering (i.e. the weapon will react to lighting).

Extensive mod system for weapon personalization - from DMR. to CQB rifle.

A tuned balancing system that allows the player to balance these weapons with other weapons in the game.


Weapons

The basic damage of a rifle is 55,33 (10% less than a hunting rifle). By default, it comes with a semi-automatic standard barrel box, short barrel, Mod 0 butt, sight and flash diffuser. The following modes are available:

Most of these mods will cosmetically affect weapons. Other mods will be added in the future.


Known Issues

No recharge sounds when using NPC and power armor (3rd person only). It also happens with the weapon for which I designed it, the submachine gun. I'm not aware of any fix.


The reload animation will look a little fuzzy. Again, there's nothing I can do about it: it's not a bug at all, it's just a sad reality.


People with smaller VRAM cards may experience missing or compressed textures. I'm working on a lower-resolution version to help people cope with the problem.


The gun holds slightly forward due to animation restrictions.
