Bow and arrows - separately
About This Mod
Features:
- Content is completely offline and does not replace anything that exists.
- Bows and arrows can be made on a chemical workbench (components are required, there are no requirements for the perches yet). The crossbow is currently only available through the console, but will be supported by crafting.
- Arrows and bolts can be picked up from the ground and bodies after the shot (some are lost if hit by NPC).
· Shells are fired in an arc.
- Arrow damage can be increased by holding down the fire button.
- Precise aiming system using distance determination methods.
- Contains 3 different frame mods, 4 limb mods, 5 sight mods and 5 types of Recurve Bow bow arrows.
- The Recurve Bow bow is affected by the Big Leagues and Rooted Perches, and the damage from Ninja Stelsa is increased up to 9 times.
About sights:
Shells fired from the bow Recurve Bow and crossbow fly along the arc, which means that the usual sights, like on any weapon, will not fit. To ensure accurate shooting, I made sights for them that use the rangefinder method to determine the approximate distance to the target using a crosshair. To determine the distance, set the crosshair on the target. At a distance of 25 m the target will be twice as high as the cross-hairs, at 50 m - twice as high as the cross-hairs, and at 100 m - twice as low as the cross-hairs (see images for explanation). Once the distance is determined, aim at the target using the correct aiming pin: upper - for 25 m, middle - for 50 m and lower - for 100 m. If the target is between these ranges, try adjusting the aiming point between the pins to correct the offset. Also, to get the most out of Glow Sights, I strongly recommend installing Darker Nights mod.
If you want to help develop this fashion, you can do the following:
- Use it. I have not tested it enough to balance and refine some aspects, such as damage and rate of fire, and would like your feedback on what needs to be changed.
- Suggest what weapon fashions you would like to see. Changes affecting the arrowhead's flight trajectory are prohibited, as this will make any plausible arrowhead aiming system during creation and use.
- Make a video preview. I have little or no experience or tools to record gameplay or modify the recording, so videos that let others see how it works are always welcome.
Known/possible problems and glitches:
- Some upgrades may not affect old weapons, so it is recommended that you create or weld a new bow after installing a new version.
- Recurve Bow's bow animations are taken from a gauss rifle (accelerated by about 3 times) and are not accurate, but there's nothing I can do about it at the moment.

- When entering and exiting the power armor "reloading" slows down, it can be corrected by switching to another weapon and back.

- Specular cards optimized for PBR shading.
