Changing the color of the nanosuit
About This Mod
I'm sorry. My life has kept me from playing and modding for almost a year now, and it probably will continue to do so. In this regard, I am providing
carte blanche to any modder to use any of my resources
mods for their own creations. Just specify the credit and link to the original mod. In terms of permissions, most of my mods are extensions of works made by other people. You will need their permission to use any resources in my mods that were originally created by others. Enjoy, and keep up the love of modding.
This is an old mod, compatible only with NanoSuit 4.1. I did not update it for compatibility with Nanosuit 5.0 because a) NS5.0 added/modified files/structure, which requires more work, and b) problems restricting the keyword list. If I can figure out how to use existing (rather than new) keywords to support this feature, I can update this mod in the future, otherwise it stays as is. If you're having problems with this mod and you're still using only NS4.1, I'll still try to offer support, but it might take a little while because I'll have to delete a number of mods to remake my own game to work with this mod.
Latest version 1.3. A reboot is recommended.
The four basic file options are: (2) 1.21 Vanilla & AWKCR/AE, (2) 1.3 Vanilla & AWKCR/AE - make sure you have selected the correct file for your setup and your game style.
v1.3: Thanks to the excellent VlitS manual, I was able to change the file so that only the floor-appropriate color changes of the nanosuit are displayed in the choice of armor modifications on the workbench (the color changes for the opposite floor will not be displayed, and the changed colors will not be transferred if the suit is passed to the companion of the opposite sex). Everything else is the same as in version 1.21, so you really only need version 1.3 if you're worried about seeing the color options of the suit for the opposite sex.
v1.21: Does not use the floor test condition to craft the color change of the nanosuit. If you are playing as a same-sex character but regularly have an opposite-sex companion and want to create costumes with color changes for opposite-sex companions, the easiest way to use version 1.21 of this fashion, which by default always displays the color options of the suit for both men and women.
COLOR AND GLOW CHANGES ARE NOW WORKING
4 colors: Black, Green, Red and White (based on original Vasstek texture).
5 Light Options: No Glow (Color Only), Blue, Fuchsia, Red, White

KEYWORD PROBLEM FOR CRAFTING MENU: Please note that this mod adds 4 custom keywords to implement color change. If you use a large number of keyword-dependent mods, this may result in exceeding the keyword limit. This is NOT a separate mod. It's a change of color.
This mod requires NANOSUIT 4.1 from Vasstek. Get it, get it now, how can you live without it, it's great fashion. All the creative work, design, texturing and so on were done by Vasstek. NOTE: This mod is not for the updated Nanosuit 5.0. This kind of mod may come, but it depends on my other time commitments because it takes a long time to change colors.
What does this mod do? This mod eliminates the dilemma of choosing one of Vasstek's great textures for Nanosuit, Nanogloves and Nanohelmet.

Two versions
1) Vanilla version - 100% vanilla keywords
2) Compatible with AWKCR (1.71) and Armorsmith Extended (2.71)
If you want to use this version, you will need AWKCR and AE. I didn’t make separate versions of AWKCR and AE because, frankly, it was easier for me. In addition, this way my mod goes well with Gambit's Armorsmith Prototypes Extended (which I can not recommend). If anyone wants to share them, welcome.
This fashion almost does for Nanosuit what Kerrigan Bodysuit Color Changer did for Kerrigan Bodysuit. Without these mods, my own mod would never have been born. I say "almost" because I haven't finished adding all the options.
Although this mod works, it is very basic and still very much reminiscent of WIP. This version of fashion is strictly VANILLA. It does not change any statistics from the original Vasstek fashion. The nano-suit, nano-gloves, and nano-helmet can still be manufactured at a chemical plant. Recipes and requirements for crafting, as well as additional armor addons from the original Vasstek fashion, have not been changed. You must set the original mod if you want something to appear/work.
Add-ons: This mod adds the ability to dynamically change the color of the nanosuit, gloves and helmet in the game, adding new armor modifications that can be created/applied on a vanilla armor workbench. They have extremely creative names in the form of "Item name color glow option". Unfortunately, the names of items don't change dynamically yet when I apply my color-changing mods.
**NOTE: There are actually TWO color variations for the nanosuit - one for men and one for women. You will see both options when you modify Nanosuit in the Armor Workbench. Make sure you have selected the correct option that matches your character's gender. If after changing the color of the suit does not change, most likely, you have chosen the option for the wrong sex.
Installation:
1. Download and install Nanosuit 4.1 Standalone Full package FOMOD and install normally. Don't forget to choose Nanohelm too. It's necessary to change colors, and you'll get a CTD if you forget. I recommend setting the default color to black for both the suit and helmet, but it doesn't matter (now that I've fixed the missing black version).
1b. If you are using AWKCR and AE, make sure you have the latest mods installed and active, otherwise you will fail.
2. Download and install my color change mod. It is recommended that you install using NMM. When prompted, let the mod overwrite the files from the Vasstek mod (don't worry, these are exactly the same files, just they are included in this mod, because it was easier for me to do that).
Aesthetic blue-black colors:
1. All the costumes have small colored areas that DO NOT CHANGE when the glow changes - this is part of the original Wasstack textures, and I did not change them.
2. There is a slight gap of gloves in / out of the sleeves, which is visible only in certain combinations when you use suits and gloves of different colors. This is part of the original fashion that has never been a problem before because it was not originally designed for mixing and combining.
FYI:
My mod includes all the resources (meshes, textures, materials) that Vasstek used in the original mod, as well as (removed in the current version) additional texture and material files. No additional files are in use (yet). They will be used when I use color/radiance. If you really want, you can delete these extra texture and material files, just make sure you know what you're doing.

F.A.Q.(ish)
How was this done?
Everything was done with blood, sweat, tears, tons of swearing, even more tears and, oh yeah, FO4edit (thanks to this team too).
Why?
Because I've been a Nexus Mods leech since Skyrim and decided I had to give something in return, apart from semi-useful comments on the fashions of other (creative) people.
And yet why?
Because I'm trying to learn the tools. I don't (yet?) have the skills to create or edit a grid. I can do the retextures, and I'm pretty good at fixing the problems so they fit together, so I'll try.
Even more, why?
Because I couldn't choose only one color for these magnificently made objects and saw that others thought the same.
How quickly will new add-ons and/or versions be uploaded? How often you check comments, errors, messages, etc.
Well, I'm a husband, father and PhD student in a field not related to computers and graphics, and I probably shouldn't work on it, play Fallout or write long, semi-serious FAQs, so I can be slow - but I'll try at least to check every few days (even if I don't download anything new).
And if my experience with this mod proves something, I also tend to accidentally delete files and need to recreate them.
The real question - will it work with XYZ fashion?

In principle, I'm not sure. I use a hell of a ton of mods that I change regularly, and it works for me. It uses all the vanilla keywords, so that's it. When I finish the AWKCR and/or AE version, the comparability should be extended.
Now the brain is dead... If additional questions come up regularly, I'll add them here.
