Alternative ammunition
About This Mod
Now you can switch between types of bullets (armor piercing, bullet and explosive) for different types of weapons on the fly.
After El Rado (it's El Niño, but radioactive because it's Fallout) returned to Mojave, the temperature and climate changed dramatically! Therefore, all AP, HP, EXP and DP cartridges have migrated to a more tolerant Commonwealth, where they have been accepted by traders and raiders! Now it's your turn to give them a home. And by "give them a home," I mean firing a gun.
This mod brings back the mechanics of the replaceable ammunition from New Vegas with slight modifications. With the new [Switch Ammo] item, you can freely convert your cartridges into other cartridges with other bonuses and use them against other enemies. Cheers, gameplay depth!
NEW FEATURES

-Ability to switch between types of cartridges on the fly! To do this, simply equip an item called [Switch Ammo], which is located in the Apparel section of your inventory. This means that it is also possible to choose!
- Several new types of ammunition that can be found both in traders and in the world and in containers! These cartridges are quite rare and have a number of advantages.
-Smart Switching: The ammunition switching system is able to detect what types of ammunition you have and switch between them.
-Large packages: Cheap bags with low-grade ammunition.
-Modular ammunition diversion system that can work with any weapon without requiring any plugins. As long as your weapon uses one of the vanilla types of ammunition, it can switch between different options.
NEW TYPES OF AMMUNITION

New types of ammunition for ballistic weapons:
-Armor penetration: Less damage with more armor penetration.
-Emptiness: Less penetration for more damage
-Surplus: Rounds that can be bought in bulk but do less damage.
-Explosives: Explosive cartridges (only for shotguns and 50 caliber cartridges)
-Slug Rounds: Shotgun cartridges that turn it into a rifle.
New types of ammunition for energy weapons:
-Overcharged and Max charged:
-Fusion Rounds: Gamma gun cartridges that add energy damage.
Other types of ammunition:
-Zoomy Missiles and Boomy Missiles: High-speed and explosive missile variants.
-Explosive cannonballs: Need to explain it
-Frostbite Rounds: Fire damage cryocells. Science is still trying to understand how they work.
-Rusty railway spikes: Deal damage from bleeding and poison
INSTALLATION AND COMPATIBILITY

Extract the zip archive and place the files in the data folder. In order for the game to register the existence of the corresponding scripts, you will need to edit Fallout4.ini so that in the [Archive] section there is a line bInvalidateOlderFiles=1, or that the line sResourceDataDirsFinal= has the line ", Scripts\" at the end and looks something like this: "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, Materials\, Textures\, Meshes\, Interface\, Sound\, Music\, Scripts\".
After installation and running, you will have an item [Switch Ammo] under your clothes, which you can choose. When weapons with alternative munitions are available (and you have alternative munitions in your inventory), using [Switch Ammo] will switch the cycles of your ammunition types.
This mod modifies seller lists, container lists, and some locations. However, it does not change weapons or weapon fashions in any way and will work with any mods to rebalance or change weapons.
