About This Mod
Description.
The SCANIA NextGen V8 truck sound package for ETS2 consists of high-quality sound samples recorded with the 2022 Scania R16.490 V8 with the latest generation DC16 V8 engine of 20.4 liters.
All sounds heard in the real Scania NG were professionally recorded using studio sound equipment, including the engine, all internal tires, switches, tones, gearbox and pneumatic brakes.
The sound package is compatible with Scania R&S 2016 from SCS and Scania R&S from Eugene and works with all available DC16 engines.
It is also compatible with Galimim's Scania Drivetrain Revision mod.
Specifications
Highly detailed engine sounds recorded every 100 rpm in 4+1 channel format with four synchronized microphones located around the engine and exhaust
Each switch, lever, and warning sound was recorded from a real track and implemented in the game (e.g. flashing light, indicator, slower lever, light switch, power windows, etc.).
As a result of long-term programming and testing, many new features were implemented that are missing from the basic mechanics.
Dynamic idle sound.
Warning sound when the engine is turned off without the manual brake or with the headlights turned on
Multiple sound samples for a single sound event (e.g. light switch with three different sounds, multiple engine start/stop sounds, different sounds for light on/off, etc.)
Parking Brake Air Sound
Several sounds to be activated only under certain driving conditions (e.g., engine braking activation when downshifting).
Various sound settings up to the smallest details, such as the sound of the switch when starting/stopping the engine, the sound of the button when lifting/lowering the axis, the sound of the gearbox selector when reversing, etc.
Gearshift and decelerator sounds in the Scania Opticruise box
Special truck cabin noise cancelation settings for very realistic interior soundproofing (only with ETS2 1.43 and above)
All sounds in correct 3D position (inside + outside)
