About This Mod

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS

Refill when equipped - set the effect/oil level of Medusa's head or lantern when equipped.

No Drain* - Medusa head effect or lantern oil does not leak out when they are raised or lit.

{*} Items still break up at a rate of about 1% per minute until they are in storage at a home or hotel. You can reset the decomposition by re-arming or using another mod that eliminates the decomposition of objects - for example, No More Item Decay. Just make sure that if you don't use a mod that reduces decay, you shoot and re-equip the head of the jellyfish at least once per real hour, while it is at your disposal and not stored.

USAGE

Every time you equip a Medusa head or lantern, the default "oil" level will be exceeded. This can be disabled by disabling replenishment when equipped.

The "oil" level does not decrease by default when you "brand" the head of Medusa. You can disable this by disabling Do Not Merge.

You can restore Medusa's head in any condition to the "Saved Medusa Head" state by simply equipping it.

WARNINGS

Attempts to activate/mask Medusa's decayed head will result in its destruction until the effect is restored. Make sure you remove and re-equip all of Medusa's extinct heads before branding them.

I strongly recommend that you create a manual backup of your game's save data before walking around and fossilizing anything that comes across. Guidance on this issue can be found here. Alternatively, you can use a mod to save data, such as Simple Savegame Manager. As a last resort, save at the hotel. Although nothing I tested broke my game, if you don't have a backup save or a stone of eternal awakening, you should think twice before sending a ton of townspeople to the morgue.

You can't petrify NPC kids, your main pawn or any other pawn in your party. However, you can rock pawns that were previously in your party after you remove them. This means that you will not be able to summon them back into the game after that at the rift stone.

All the others not mentioned above seem to have the ability to petrify. Do not forget that this includes unique characters and quests, as well as shopkeepers, innkeepers and bartenders. During the test, I found no NPC that could not be immediately revived in the morgue after petrification.
