About This Mod

Military boots - modern, durable, all-terrain combat boots. A custom model ported to Cyberpunk for use by players. The only military boots you'll ever need.

The project was commissioned by Grovac.

These are a pair of shoes that exist in real life and are actively used in various armed forces. This is a high version of Zephyr GTX Boots.

Lore:

This section contains a snippet of the history associated with this mod. These stories were entirely concocted by me with the intention of integrating my work into the official history of Cyberpunk.

In my stories, a small company [redacted] provides the public with a variety of equipment.

They specialize in recovery expeditions, seeking information that leads them to locations around the world where caches or drawings of military equipment may be located, which are then extracted and delivered to headquarters, where they are researched and transformed into a new, modernized product that can be used in the modern world of cyberpunk.

This is part of the Expedition phase of the project. The events in Colorado Springs are part of the official history of cyberpunk. If interested, you can find out more here.

Refits:

This mod uses the property interpolation function from ArchiveXL. With this feature, ArchiveXL will choose the women's or men's outfit depending on who you play for. This means that only one universal file is available for download, which can be used for both sexes.

An additional file is available for the female. It replaces the female outfit with one that has a narrower hole for the shoe. Use it if you use shoes that do not reach the ankle or very narrow, it looks better. This file also disables GS. More information in the section "Clothing support" below.

Available modifications:

Compatible with vanilla masculine and all masculine body styles.

Compatible with vanilla feminine only if you use Toggleable Feet mod with it.

Compatible with all feminine body styles that incorporate Toggleable/Switch Feet mod.

Notes:

Most body mods already incorporate the Toggleable/Switch Feet function. Examples: VTK/EVB/EBB/EBBP/RB/Lush/Solo, etc.

If you are using a vanilla female body, you need to install a separate mod Toggleable Feetfrom Angy.

Distinguish between body and riga fashions. The rig mode distorts the body, shifting the position of the bones. Body mod has its own bones and its own sculptural mesh, which requires you to use refits.

For example, if you use rig SP0s with vanilla body, it means that you are still using vanilla body and need Toggleable Feet fashion to use boots. Otherwise, using them will make your V legs invisible.

The mod is designed to be used with my other military mods.

Garment Support:

Garment Support (GS) is a system that Cyberpunk uses to "compress" clothes located under each other to avoid being cut. For GS to take effect, both conflicting objects must have GS enabled. All vanilla garments have GS. It is absent from most mods.

In the main file of this mode, GS is integrated for both sexes. All leg clothing (GS included) reaching the ankle will attempt to be tipped in or crumpled into boots, depending on the GS score. You can control this by changing the foowear slot in EquipmentEx. Hold F over an item to change its slot.

There is an additional file that disables GS for boots. Use it if your existing footwear does not behave correctly towards GS boots. The hole in the boots was wide enough to hold the medium-thickness leg garment without the GS.

In the optional wrap around female patch, the GS is disabled by default because it can cause skin tears on the pants.

Notes:

This feature is experimental, it may not work properly with some pants, so there is an additional file to disable it.

If GS-enabled pants do nothing in contact with boots, shuffle the pants slot into Legs/Inner, Legs/Middle, or Legs/Outer until one of them is active. Hold F over them to change their slot.

The GS system also affects the body. That is, when the clothes are crumpled by other clothing, the body parts around the crumpled area will also be affected.

However, this only works with vanilla bodies. The modified bodies do not have GS. The consequence of this is the possible circumcision of the skin around the areas affected by GS, as these parts are no longer pressed against clothing.

Options:

These shoes were painted in the same color palette as my other military fashions. They have the same rude, reflective appearance as my other military equipment.

Available colors:

20 solid colors with neutral accents

8 Non-standard options with camouflage stripes

Notes:

As mentioned in previous mods, 3 of the custom variants will be replaced.

These three options are green camouflage options (Woodland, Pinewood, Tropical). Unfortunately, they are very complex inside and significantly slow my progress when trying to combine them in all my mods.

Furthermore, they don't fit very well in the Cyberpunk world, as there are no suitable forests or green environments where they could make sense.

They will be replaced in all my mods (over time) with easier to maintain and more suitable options.

These options are "Nightops" (black with a blue accent), "Enforcer" (dark gray with a light purple accent), and "Zealot" (white with a red accent).

Items from this fashion have parts using camouflage patterns, new variants have custom geometric patterns.

EquipmentEx:

EquipmentEx is not required for this mode, but is still highly recommended. This mod adds a total of 28 items.

These items apparently occupy the Feet slot in both vanilla and EquipmentEx.

A secondary advantage of using EquipmentEx with this fashion is that you can change the footwear slot, thus choosing whether they will be tucked into boots or put on top of them. To do this, hold F over your pants and change them to one of the 3 available leg slots to see how it will affect your boots.

EquipSlot:

Legs: Boots x28

Additional information:

The mod has an additional, custom buff on stats. Equipping your boots in a vanilla slot will give you +20 Armor.

All items in this fashion are compatible with the first person.

The boots implement the correct sound of footsteps. If they don't work, equip them again and they are activated.

My mods are optimized for both gameplay and photomod.

Features:

Female V and Male V

Automatic floor selection

28 items

Built-in clothing support

It is designed to be worn with military, research or survival equipment.

The colors match my other fashions.

Boots give +20 armor

Has the sound of footsteps boots
