About This Mod

In vanilla Cyberpunk are very tough ragdolls, which almost always find themselves in a boring A-pose. In addition, most NPC models have a self-collision problem that causes one leg to be pulled backwards, despite gravity.

This mod completely changes the flexibility of regdol in all NPC models and fixes the problems with self-collision. It is tuned to provide more variety of rest poses and procedural animations, as well as better interaction with scenery and animated transitions.

Your feedback is highly welcome. This mod is still in development. I recommend also installing my other mod, More Blood Splatters, to make the fight more viscous.

INSTALLATION:

From 1.2 onwards: Simply extract it into the main Cyberpunk directory. The same applies to additional files.

FROM 1.1 BACK: Extract the contents of the .zip file into the Cyberpunk folder 2077\archive\pc\mod

KNOWN PROBLEMS AS OF RAGDOLL PHYSICS OVERHAUL 2.0 (ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS COME FROM CYBERPUNK ITSELF AND ARE NOT SOLVED AT THIS TIME):

- Knees can still bend the wrong way, although now it happens quite rarely.

- The hands can still be chicken in the shape of < > because the shoulders don't fully fit my parameters. One axis of motion seems to be stubbornly locked, so when the arms turn in a certain way, they can accept this position. This does not seem to be the problem of the collision itself, so a solution to this problem is in the pipeline.

- Hands may still be slightly pressed against the abdomen, and ragdolls in general may be pressed against certain surfaces. Self-collision of hands and belly is a disaster area that I'm still dealing with. Flexibility settings were configured to minimize the collision, but it can still occur. And yes, when the ragdolls twitch right after death, they briefly crash into the ground. This has always been a problem, and the solution may be in the humanoid.animgraph file, but it has more than 4000 nodes that I can't see, like in, say, Unreal blueprint. I can only see it as a linear list. It's my own circle of hell, so I'll need time to figure it out.

- This mod has not yet been able to directly improve the weight of ragdolls. The reason for the problem seems to be that too much damping is applied to the limbs, which slows down the movement of the entire regdall. The settings needed to improve this problem are still being investigated because they are not present in the files I have found so far.

- NPCs can still adopt unnatural postures by augmenting themselves with limbs, but in 2.0 this happens much less frequently, especially with an experimental extra file that reduces the friction of ragdoll. The reason for this problem is that the ragdolls in the game have too much friction and too little mass, leading to cardboard-like behavior. The correct solution to this problem is still under investigation.
