About This Mod

This framework makes it possible for each icon displayed in the character creation menu to be changed independently of others, allowing mods replacing these CC options (e.g. eye color, make-up color, hair color, etc.) to create their own icons that will not conflict with each other. Also it fixed two duplication errors in vanilla CC - bleeding light blue eye color now uses the correct icon, as well as the uneven pink color of nails.

A little bit about why this framework was created: By default, all the icons of the COP are contained on one sheet, which means that if one mod edits this sheet, it will conflict with edits made by any other mod. That is why most mods associated with the creation of the character do not have their own icons. The aim of this framework is to make it easy and simple for mod creators to include custom icons in their CC-related mods.

Phantom Liberty and version 2.0+ are required for this mode to work properly.

MODE USERS:

You only need to install this mod if it is listed as a requirement for another mod you are installing. On its own, it does little, but fixes two duplicate icons and numbers all options.

ICONIC INSTALLATION:

Download 'ICONIC - Character Creation Icon Framework'.

Extract 'ICONIC - Character Creation Icon Framework' and drag the r6 archive and folders to the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder.

TO UNINSTALL ICONIC:

Remove 'zz_JSILVERHVND_ICONIC_CCIconFramework.archive' from the Cyberpunk folder 2077\archive\pc\mod.

Remove 'JSILVERHVND_ICONIC_CCIconFramework.yml' from the r6\tweaks folder.

POSSIBLE CONFLICTS:

If a mod has custom icons but has not been created to work with ICONIC (i.e. the creator of the mod has changed the standard icon sheet), ICONIC will not allow the custom icons of that mod to be displayed.

This framework will conflict with any mod that modifies the files 'male_cco_ep1.inkcharcustomization' and 'female_cco_ep1.inkcharcustomization'. I don't know of any released fashion that does this, but I'll list them here as soon as I know about them.

This framework will be a bit conflicted with ANY Hyst body and Biosculpted Exotics fashion; about 95% of it will work, but duplicate corrections and icons of lip makeup colors - no.

TO MODEL CREATORS:

I designed this framework to be as easy to use as possible, but please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Create your icon textures.

- On the page of this mod there is a template file, which you can freely use.

- If you are importing textures through WolvenKit, you may need to change TextureGroup to 'TEXG_Generic_UI' to display them correctly. Or maybe you won't! Most of the icons from fallback were imported without changing the settings, but in real use I couldn't make the hair color icons work for my fashion without using 'TEXG_Generic_UI' instead... That's it!

Place the icon textures in the file path of the option you are replacing. All file paths are listed below and numbered according to how they appear in Character Creator.

Pack your fashion.

Be sure to name the archive with the mod so that it loads on top of the ICONIC framework file, otherwise your icons won't be displayed.

When downloading or distributing your mod, please direct users to install ICONIC - Character Creation Icon Framework as the required mod.

SOME NOTES:

"Freckles" and "Cheek Makeup" are technically the same option (listed in the section "Cheek Makeup") in CC, but since their color patterns are completely different, it was strange to number the first four (freckles option colors) 1-4, then continue 5, 6, 7... and so on for actual make-up options. Therefore, they were divided into separate categories "Freckles" and "Cheek Makeup".

Lip makeup colors were also divided according to the makeup style: Default, Glossy and Matte. This is because each style has its own set of color files to modify, so you can (for example) replace the default style colors without touching Glossy or Matte - and it would be wrong to change icons if you didn't change them, so there is a different set of icon textures for each option.

The Hair Color icons affect the following options: Hair Color, Eyebrow Color, Beard Color, and Eyelash Color. This is because all of these assets point to the same color files by default, so replacing one will replace the color for all.
