Silverhand textures in high resolution. Includes face, cyber devices, tattoos, and clothing.

I have increased all textures by 4 times using chaiNNer and ESRGAN models to the maximum size 4K.

If you are concerned about your VRAM, the 2K option is available.

Johnny's textures were updated for the 2.0 version of the game. If you need original textures, you can use the original mod.

Installation

Cyberpunk downloads the archives in alphabetical-numeric order, with the numbers leading before the letters. The names of the archives that go first are loaded last, that is, they will overwrite everything that goes after them.

If you want the archives to be overwritten by other mods, add the prefix "ZZ" at the beginning of the archive title, and if you want the archives to be overwritten by other mods, add the prefix "00" at the beginning of the archive title.

So why all these high-resolution texture fashions?

Cyberpunk relies heavily on post-processing and native graphics scaling. This means that most of the vanilla textures have very low resolution, and the game engine increases most of them at least 2 times, but no more than 32 times compared to the original, depending on the graphics settings.

This technique allows CDPR to pack the game much less, but the quality of such on-the-fly upscaling is not comparable to what carefully trained and selected upscaling models can do with powerful artificial intelligence programs. Since vanilla textures are already scalable, the difference in VRAM usage between these mods and setting texture quality to High is small.

The biggest improvement is sharpening. CP77 relies heavily on normal maps for its textures, and then applies colors and effects to these normal maps. Scaled AI normal maps significantly improve detail rendering clarity, allowing light and shadow to fall off better.

Questions and answers:

Why is there no version of REDMod?

CDPR disabled the REDMod feature for the release of Phantom Liberty and version 2.0. Therefore, I will no longer make REDMod versions of my mods. As soon as they restore the functionality of REDMod, these standard archives can still be used with REDMod, so I will not make special versions in case the CDPR decides to roll back these machinations again.

Is it compatible with modx?

These are just textures, so they can easily be overwritten by other mods or vice versa. See the installation instructions above.

Why one mod instead of AIO?

I may release some AIO mods later, but I want to be able to fix bugs and make improvements at every stage of the project, and let users choose which textures they want to improve based on their gameplay and personal preferences. If you want to get an AIO, you can download the compilations above. You don't need to keep using Vortex, just use it as a tool to download the collection and install mods, and then you can control the rest of the boot order manually.
