About This Mod
Youngstown, Ohio. A small steel town. It flourished as a small city as demand for steel grew throughout the industrial era. But with the decline of the steel industry, this bustling city has become a rust shell of what it once was. Crime once flourished, and mafia bosses arranged for each other the legendary "Youngstown Tune-Up"... Will your city survive in the Mahoning Valley?
This realistic map borrows its features from modified real-world height maps. The river does not accommodate large shipping, but abundant rail and road connections will meet any needs of the industry. All highways and rails were carefully placed in their real locations (although some entrances and exits were adjusted to make them valid in Cities: Skylines).
There is definitely a lot of ore, so this map is true to its origin as a stop for coal and steel mining in the Rust Belt. Farmland is also abundant if you decide to expand south of the city, and a small amount of oil will help keep the industry moving.
