This template I made for myself even before the beta version of the editor. Now I have too many restrictions and unfinished sections to complete it... so in the future i plan to update it when the editor is better.
My goal was to create a map with a friendly grid and a network with a flat but interesting relief so that I could just quickly place network buildings and zone cities without spending a lot of time fighting the terrain. The map never had to be realistic (as the name suggests), but I tried my best to make the slopes and turns realistic. There are also several traffic interchanges that I wanted to try on a massive scale, along the central spine of the waterway map for docking ships in the center. There are lots of beautiful realistic maps, so I didn't create my own.
Because I wanted to keep everything symmetrical so that the grid wouldn't break... let's just say it took a lot more work than you think to get it to this lol state. The main thing I want to set up correctly is the climate and maybe add some more water elements to fill the sections. I'd like to do waterfalls, for example, but the editor doesn't want to cooperate with that yet.
