About This Mod

The Roman Pilum is a spear-shaped weapon used by the Romans throughout their history. They were designed to penetrate shields and thin enemy lines, as well as to bend on impact. This not only made the shields cumbersome and useless, but also prevented the enemy from attacking Roman soldiers.


For much of Roman history, soldiers wore them as part of their main equipment. Before confronting the enemy, they raised the saw in unison and showered the enemy with heavy spears, giving him a clear advantage over the enemy. There were two main types of saws: light and heavy. In extreme cases, they could be used as spears, but when they were not, the soldiers often refused to use a saw and instead used gladiators.


In addition to refining the value of these weapons, a heavier version will be added over time, if necessary. Currently, the pilum does not bend on impact, but we will consider making it a potential feature if possible! Of course, these weapons are part of a large set of weapons and armor on a Roman theme that will be expanded over time.


Now this weapon works pretty well. Perfecting the throwing of objects in this game seems to present some difficulty, but I've thrown this pilume across the canyon on the other side, so I think it's good enough!
