About This Mod

Added some quality improvements to musical performances, added support for tool dyes, and increased the number of tools available for use with different levels of quality. Including a few beginner instruments that allow non-musicians to successfully join performances under the guidance of an experienced musician, so you and your party mates can jam together late into the night.


The mod is designed to try to fit the game naturally and not unbalance anything. New tools have been added to the original tool drop-down tables and will appear from time to time in all locations where tools are normally displayed at creation (e.g. traders/containers/pocket thieves). Some of the instruments have also been added to several merchants that will be more reliably available (some NPCs can be exchanged, but the dialogs end before you have time to exchange), the most notable of which are Pickpocket Mattis (Act I/II), Cobald Popper at the Rivington Circus (Act III) and the Chromatic Gamma Music Store at Baldur's Gate (Act III).


Script-Extender

The mode is marked as requiring an extender script, but the basic functionality should work without it. The mod uses it only to fix/update certain entities that already exist in the saved game (for example, 'Lihala's Lute'). Some entities are defined as Local-Templates that cannot be modified by mods by standard tools after they have already been created, so Script-Extender must patch them if entities already exist in the save.


Functions

*NEW FEATURES* Added support for tool dyes

(Note: It was very difficult to get everything to look normal with most of the dyes, because the palettes of the dyes are really heterogeneous).

Automatically play the correct song when you join a performance

Clicking the Execute skill again now simply stops the performance (preventing strange states of uncertainty)

Fixed vanilla bug, which caused some drum items to be missing Deluxe Edition DoS2 songs.

Smaller flute/lira models (inspired by Vaylentine mods: Little Flute and Little Lira) are added.)

Added many new tools and properties for each quality level (unusual, rare, very rare).
