About This Mod

Coven of the Underdark - Vampire Drow Podrace



Deep down in the Underground, there is a vampire sabbath, born after its founders escaped from the sunlight of the surface. Since only a few clergy knew of their existence, the growth of the coven depended entirely on its transformation into a drow.


Introduction

Once again, this mod was built around one of my OCs, so the design and abilities focus primarily on its assembly with a few stolen strokes from vampires and the appearance of vampires in the game. Conceptually, these vampires are more powerful than the average drow, consistent with the idea that a vampire progeny is stronger than its living counterpart. If this isn't your cup of tea, I highly recommend one of the other vampire mods available, as each one has had a lot of thoughts invested in it!


Balance:

two unique passive skills have a toggle to enable or disable them according to their preferred difficulty level and style.


Passive Skills and Resources

Blood Bank - A resource used to cast subrace spells. It can be restored by feeding on human-like beings. Discharged with a long rest.Dark

predator - Attack rolls made outside sunlight have the advantage. (on/off)

Healing Sleep - Once during a long rest, when your health drops to 0, you enter the Deadly Rally for one turn before collapsing into the Coffin for the next two turns. At the end of the rest you again enter the battle with half the maximum HP.

Deadly Rally: Increase your movement speed by 50% over the next two moves, and you are immune to all damage except Radiant. At the end of your moves you will collapse into the Coffin for two moves.

Coffin Reset: Once for a long rest, after the Deadly Rally, you will fall asleep for two moves. While sleeping, you are immune to all damage except Radiant, and upon waking you will have half of your maximum HP restored. You can't wake up from this dream prematurely.

Low Blood - When your health drops below 25% of your maximum, movement speed is halved and you gain -1 to attack and skill checks, and lose advantage when saving throws. This condition is waived when your HP passes the 25% threshold.

Vampire Regeneration - You regain your health points at the beginning of your turn if you are not in sunlight or have taken radiant or Holy Water damage, in which case this feature will not work until the beginning of your next turn. (5 OZ at start, 10 KP at level 5, 20 KP at level 12; on/off)

Class Action: Vampire Bite, Wild Bat, Dancing Lights (a race drow spell)

Level Three

Passive Skills: Devil's Eye, Additional Attack

Class Action: Disguise yourself, Shadow Step, Magic Fire (a race drow spell)

Level five

Passive Abilities: Accustomed to Undead

Class Action: Night Advance, Edge of Darkness, Darkness (Drow racial spell)

Seventh level

Passive Abilities: Seductive Effect

Class Action: Horrible Aspect, Shadow Aspect

Level 9

Group actions: Domination of a person, Foggy Escape

Eleventh level

Group actions: causing harm, feasting


Unique spell/action bite

- Rethinking the vampire bite that the NPC has. In addition to healing and restoring one blood bank, it slightly reduces the maximum health of the target. You get a Happy condition for a successful attack.

Bat Wildshape - Turn into a bat that can fly and bite enemies.

NightFall is a reworking of Hunger of Hadar that deals psychic and conditional necrotic damage as well as blinding creatures within its range. The caster is immune.

Misty Escape - Reimagining Casador's Foggy Escape. Turn into a tiny cloud of mist that does not provoke possible attacks. You will return to your physical form after one turn.

Fear - Eat the enemy's life source by killing him instantly and restoring your blood bank completely. You get a 3-turn full state.

Satiety: You gain +1 on all attack rolls, saves, and most ability checks. You also get an advantage when saving throws.

Supported Control Modifiers Because

This is a subrace, all the control modifications that affect the drow will be available depending on your Tawa's physique type. I have no plans to modify heads that are designed for other races.


Potential conflicts

Mods Other Mods Drow (no known conflicts as of 13.07) - Astralities Elven Mythology: When both modes are in order of loading, the standard Drow Progress spells (dancing lights, magical fire and darkness) are not added to your tav. Fixed in version 1.0.0.1


Installation

i highly recommend BG3 Mod Manager, alternative forms of installation i have not tested.


Known bugs/quirks

Dark Predator will be an extremely good player for a robber. If you are looking for a call with this setting, I would recommend leaving this passive ability off.

If you run a single race (i.e. you have no satellites), a coffin reset signals the enemy AI to end the fight so it can switch positions and/or restore health points while you sleep.

Healing sleep does not start until you rest after the first long rest.
