[PTZ-00] Survival Odyssey (Discontinued)

It's a CORE mod. This is a project that contains all assets related to the Survival Odyssey series of mods.

Ported and remade from a previous iteration, it is privately owned by Ark: Survival Evolved Steam Workshop: Ark Re-Evolution.

Description

Survival Odyssey is a series of mods designed to create a unique narrative in the Ark universe focused on the player's adventures and survival. This ambitious project introduces new mechanics, content and elements that are made available through CORE fashion extensions, improving the player's experience.

This all-encompassing mod brings a host of new features, including weapons, tools, armor, views, subspecies, and variants. Yet the journey is not without its challenges. Players will face formidable enemies such as bosses, alphas, territorial creatures, and wild animals, all of which pose a serious threat requiring adaptive abilities and strategic thinking.

Extensive documentation in the form of notes is provided to enrich the player's experience. These notes provide valuable insights into the biodiversity and environmental dynamics of the Arks. However, among the tribal huts and oral traditions that now prevail, there is a mysterious element - the legends about the distant blue planet, shrouded in mystery and longing.

Extensions

Extensions to the series include the following cards based on their respective titles:

• The Island - Survival Odyssey: Primal Urge (Explore the uncharted territory of an island teeming with primitive life.)
• The Center - Survival Odyssey: Tropical Crisis (Make your way through the lush jungle and survive the tropical chaos.)
• Scorched Earth - Survival Odyssey: Arid Veil (Challenge the harsh desert landscapes and uncover hidden secrets.)
• Ragnarok - Survival Odyssey: Magna Wars (Take part in great battles in various parts of the continent shrouded in myth.)
• Aberration - Survival Odyssey: Aberrant Covenant (Fight aberrant creatures and experience the surreal scenery of the cave underworld.)
• Valguero - Survival Odyssey: Boreal Mythos (Travel through the frozen tundras and unravel the legends buried under the snow.)
• Extinction - Survival Odyssey: Paleo Legacy (Fight a grim future, embark on a journey to challenge it, and explore the remnants of human civilization.)
• Modded Map - Survival Odyssey: Elysium Ascent (Protect a secure future and drive the transformation that will bring life back to the planet.)

Development

This project has been developed over four months, representing my personal vision of how Ark: Survival Ascended can go beyond Ark: Survival Evolved.

The lack of defined goals and roadmaps allowed the project to develop organically over time, without the pressure of expectations. However, the recent discrepancy led to personal demotivation and awareness, which prompted me to reconsider the project.

I decided to stop this project for personal reasons. Unfortunately, I have come to accept that for this ambitious project to be designed and successful, I need specialized support from people willing to help with:

• Programming/graphics in Ark Dev Kit;
• Customize/texture creature models in Blender (or other software). Without this support, a series of modifications cannot take place.
