About This Mod

This mode alters the behavior of NPC ships (pirates, sentries, merchants) according to the player's fighting abilities, increasing the number of ships generated for a space collision.

About us


This No Man's Sky mode will try to do two things in a space battle:


1. NPC Ship Actions Recycling


Maud alters the behavior of NPC ships (pirates, sentries, merchants) by providing them with AI that matches the player's combat potential. It is designed to simulate how the real player will participate in a ship's battle. If you've ever noticed something like the npc ship actually approaching before you start shooting, or how to shoot very slowly, this mode will fix it.


The changes are as follows:


General remarks and changes

The NPC will no longer stop the shooting session while the target is still below target

Non-player characters can fire during maneuvering - shooting angles are as wide as the player's

The Npc will start aiming and shooting at the target (you) as soon as it sees them

If the NPC is too far from the target, the NPC will remain inaccurate - the closer, the better

NPC health improved slightly (1.5x) (for version 0.9)

The bullet moves at a speed of about 1.5 × 3 × (which, according to the 0.8 version, is no longer the case)


Complex Npc (Pirates and Guard Level)

More than 3x faster fire rate

Run and run 1.25 times faster


Mid-complexity Npc (Mid-level Pirate)

The firing rate is more than twice as high

Run and run 1.5 times faster


Easy Npc difficulty (not harmless level pirates, traders and other opponents)

Rate of fire remains unchanged

Run and ride twice as fast



2. Large Space Battles / Spawning Increase Ships


Maud will increase the number of ships appearing during space battles. In space wars, I mean both: a) an incident with a "rescue cargo ship decommunization" because of a random distress signal you receive.b) Space meets pirates (pirate rewards or when pirates try to rob you) and Guard (if you have a warning level). 


The number of spawning spawns is within reach, meaning you can only take 1 ship at a time and have a limit of 6 or more on another ship.


The changes are as follows:


Unfriendly flyers

2-6 vessels may be produced simultaneously


Pirate meetings

Small group: 1-6 ships may appear at a time

Large crew: 9-18 ships may appear at the same time


Blessings

Easy: 1-6 ships can appear at a time

Medium: 3-12 ships may appear at a time

Difficult: it can generate 3-9 ships at a time


Duty

1 Recruitment level: 1-2 ships per spawning area

2 levels wanted: 2-3 ships to spawn

3 Wanted levels: 3-4 ships to spawn

Recruitment levels 4: 3-5 spawning vessels

5 Recruitment level: 3-6 ships and 1-2 frigates per spawning ship


Space War:

In total, there will be from 40 to 50 pirate ships

In total there will be from 10 to 30 friendly ships

Total of 2-4 attack frigates

Why?


Space War No Man's Sky is doing well in its first few attempts, but after a while it seems there are many opportunities for improvement. There is no longer any risk that pirates will seek out aircraft carriers or be chased by a sentry, especially after you buy a better ship and upgrade your armament. Needless to say, Nms have 5 different classes of ships (6 with live ships), but the combat is felt almost equally.


This mode encourages you to use more maneuvers and/or use your surroundings (asteroids and nearby frigates) to fend off aggressive attacks from the Npc. Sodium is used too much - you need it to charge your shield.


Saving a freighter now looks more like saving a freighter. The fleet is more likely to suffer some loss of cargo, lose 1 frigate and badly damaged freighter. Fighters and exotics take their deserved place as the ships with the most fighting efficiency and maneuverability; aircraft carriers actually use their more advanced shields.


At least it's an idea. This is my first No Man's Sky mode - it's getting too hard on the edge. Please give feedback - especially from more experienced mods.
